Welders, through technical content and laboratory exercises, join metal parts, fill holes, indentions, or seams in metal products.  Anything made of metal can be welded: cars, trucks, aircraft, skyscrapers, bridges, pipes, sculptures, and more.  The program adheres to the standards and specifications of the American Welding Society, AWS D1.1.  The basic skills of welding are the same across the industry, so the more adaptive you are, the easier it is to shift to additional welding processes.  The AWS has predicted the demand for welders far exceeds the available workforce for the foreseeable future. Note: This is a non-degree certificate program and credit earned will not count toward a degree.
