You can subscribe to any of the following:

·       An entire Forums portlet instance.

·       A category (within a portlet instance).

·       A topic (within a category).

·       An individual post.

When it comes to receiving updates, you can choose one or both of the following options:

·       You can configure Forums posts and replies to show up in your My Subscribed Forums view.

·       You can have messages e-mailed to you. Each e-mail notification will include the subject and text of the item, along with a link to its location within the portal. With this option, note that you will not receive e-mail notifications when authors edit their posts.
