Program Mission & Outcomes

The College of Information Technology's focus is to advance student learning and achievement through excellence in teaching within a dynamic and supportive learning environment.  Our programs deliver practical education to prepare students for professional careers in information technology.  We strive to prepare our graduates to be ethical professionals of life-long learning, career success, and community engagement.

 

Program Outcomes

By the end of the program, students will...

  1. Demonstrate competency with various programming languages and operating systems with emphasis on object orientated design and end user functionality.
  2. Utilize a variety of tools and software applications to design, implement, and evaluate a computing-based solution to meet a given set of requirements in a computer gaming environment.
  3. Evaluate trending application development platforms in order to gain competency in development techniques and processes.
  4. Communicate effectively in a variety of professional contexts.
  5. Recognize professional responsibilities and make informed judgments in computing practice based on legal and ethical principles.
  6. Apply computer science theory and software development fundamentals to produce computing-based solutions.
